Happy Retirement to Jackie!

The 30th September saw the end of an era when we said goodbye to Jackie Bailey-Scott, Director and Company Chairman after 37 years at AbbeyPrint.

Jackie joined the company on 2nd June 1982 after her father, Rob Teeuw and his brothers Don and Frank purchased the company from its previous owner.  Jackie’s role was to develop the office products side of the business, firstly in the old High Street, Spalding premises and then in the purpose built retail showroom when we moved to our current Enterprise Way, Pinchbeck site in 1991.

Jackie became one of the directors and was appointed Company Chairman upon the retirement of her father in 2004 following a management takeover.

Under Jackie’s guidance the office products department went from strength to strength to become one of the area’s leading suppliers.  As time went on the department diversified into promotional products, office furniture and business machines and over the years Jackie has built up some fantastic relationships with our customers, leading brands and manufacturers alike to make it the success it is today.

Jackie will be succeeded by Marissa Frisby who will now head up this department as well as becoming a newly appointed director of AbbeyPrint.

Douglas will also sadly be leaving the AbbeyPrint team, after his 3 years of service (28 in dog years!) he has also built some amazing relationships with our customers and will also be sadly missed.

We all wish Jackie and Douglas a long and happy early retirement (to spend a bit more time on the golf course!) and thank her for the past 37 years’ service.
